What To Expect
If you have been referred to see Dr. Handelman, please come 5 minutes early to the appointment for patient registration.
Please bring the completed forms and information as described here.
A parent or guardian must be present.
The consultation will consist of a 45-60 min. interview. Both the parent and the child will be interviewed.
After the appointment a letter will be sent to the referring doctor, summarizing any findings and making treatment recommendations.
Dr. Handelman is not able to refer for counseling services in Peel, so you will need to self refer. Please view the local resources here, and consider initiated the referral process even before you see Dr. Handelman – these agencies do their own intake assessments, and do have waiting lists as well.
